South Coastal Animal Health is pleased to announce the arrival of our new staff Veterinarian Dr. Liz Czaplicki. Dr. Liz comes to us from Black Pond Veterinary Specialists and is a graduate of Ohio State University. Her professionalism and caring ways have already won her a following among our clients. We are sure you’ll love her! Feel free to stop in and meet her at any time.

Senior Pet Wellness Months!   All dogs and cats over 7 years of age are considered seniors and are at risk for developing many health problems such as heart disease, kidney or liver disease, diabetes or hyperthyroidism.  In order to detect these conditions as early as possible and begin treatment we recommend senior blood testing at least once a year.          

For the months of September and October we are inviting pet owners to bring in their older pets for an exam and Senior Profile.  This testing consists of a comprehensive CBC, a complete serum chemistry panel, thyroid level and urinalysis. Together these tests give us a good overall picture of your pet’s health and organ functions.

While Senior testing usually would cost in excess of $165, in honor of our “older” pets, we are pleased to offer this complete profile for $115.

To ensure that your pets have long and healthy golden years, call our office today to schedule an exam and testing. 

We now also offer the Wisdom DNA Panel to let you know exactly what breeds your mixed breed dog stems from. The cost for this DNA test is $170.  Just in case you’re curious!
